Locking ring

A precision metallic set screw shaft collar designed to establish a secure fixed mechanical stop, spacer, or axial positioning point along cylindrical shafts and linear guide rods. It operates by sliding the annular body over the shaft diameter and tightening radially oriented set screws, whose tips exert direct clamping pressure against the metal surface to create high frictional retention capable of resisting axial thrust forces. This mechanical interference prevents longitudinal sliding or misalignment of adjacent bearings, pulleys, sprockets, and moving carriage components under operational vibration.
