I/O Module PT100

An Omron NX-series temperature input expansion module specifically designed for high-precision thermal monitoring using Platinum Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs). It operates by supplying a stable excitation current to two connected 2-wire or 3-wire PT100 temperature sensors and measuring the resulting voltage drop across the elements. Internal analog-to-digital converters (ADC) transform these temperature-proportional resistance changes into digital temperature readings (0.1° resolution) and transmit the data via the NX bus or EtherCAT fieldbus to the main controller, enabling real-time thermal feedback for closed-loop heating and cooling process control.
